Open-wheel racing

You might wonder, why i'm writing this week's blogpost in english. Maybe i try to get a taste of international attention. Without further ado, Let's do it.

It was a dull second round of 2020 FIA Formula 1 World Championship at Red Bull Ring. A second race weekend in a row in Austria. The official name of the event was Styrian Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamilton got a huge advantage from rainy qualifying session, so he can cruise to his 85th victory in his great career. And yet again, brits were jumping for joy.
The race strategy of Mercedes was same old thing. Do undercut to Hamilton by calling Valtteri Bottas to pit first and let the briton run fast laps. After that it was Hamilton's turn to pit, and the race was done for the win.

Bottas catched Red Bull Racing's Max Verstappen and passed him for second place. The greatest performance howewer was Lando Norris and his last two laps. Norris overtook Racing Poin'ts Lance Stroll, Daniel Ricciardo's Renault and Mexican Sergio Perez and rose from seventh to fifth position. Nicely done.
Bottas leads in points, but Hamilton will probably takes the championship lead after next week's Hungarian Grand Prix.
What about Ferrari? Their race was catastrophic. Charles Leclerc bumped to Sebatian Vettel's rear wing at turn 3 on opening lap and both retired. Something got to happen, otherwise is game over for this years championship's.

There were doubleheader (two races on a weekend) at Road America circuit. There were rounds three and four on NTT Indycar Series. Chip Ganassi Racing had a great weekend overall. On Saturday Scott Dixon took his third win of the season despite starting from 15th place and on Sunday. Felix Rosenqvist took his first win. Team's pit strategy worked great despite minor issues with tire changes.
Both races were entertaining and there was lot of overtaking in turn 5. Sunday's race was settled under five laps before finish by Rosenqvist and Pato O'Ward. Great battle nose to nose.
Rosenqvist's win was first Indycar win by a swede since 2002. Kenny Bräck won in Mexico that year.

Championship standings after round 4.

1. Dixon 173
2. Herta 119
3. Pagenaud 110

In case you miss the race, highlights are available at the indycar's Youtube channel.

Stay tuned.
